RE: [MittleiderMethodGardening] Great Material on Healthy Eating - Recommended for All
Jim--
Funny you came up with this because reading Fuhrman is how I got back into gardening! His system does work and the veggies taste great if I'm not eating the fat, especially animal fat. My blood stats are much improved and I lost ovet 10 lbs in a month. I hope to be with the gardening forever now that I'm eating the 1-2 lbs of veggies a day he suggests.
Did you hear that the grocery store price of veggies went up 52% in the last year? This came from the Territorial Seed catalog for 2010.
Just another reason for us to grow our own!

The material in the following links is, in my opinion, VERY worthwhile for every one of us to study and incorporate into our daily eating habits.
Dr. Fuhrman explains why eating meat sparingly is far more healthy than making it the main staple of our daily meals, and that vegetables are a MUCH more healthy choice for daily consumption.
I've known for a long time that nutrition from a plant source is much more efficient to PRODUCE than the same nutrition from a meat source, but this information makes eating vegetables so much MORE important.
Now, with our economy in tatters and many of us needing to find ways to save money, we can do BOTH - save money as well as our health.
I recommend these two pages be printed and posted to your refrigerator door, in order to assist you in making the needed improvements in your meal preparation and eating.
