[MittleiderMethodGardening] regarding Burpee corn Breeders Choice
Dear Jim Kennard,
You mentioned Breeder's Choice Corn from Burpee as your favorite... I
have been at their site, and it does look good. One reviewer mentioned
that they absolutely loved it for fresh eating, but that they didn't
think it was very good for freezing. Do you freeze yours, and what is
your opinion of the quality? What about canning? I think we will be
mostly eating fresh, but just wondered....
For some reason, I had always thought of Burpee as some big seed company
that would have GMO seeds, but they assured me that all their seed is
NON-GMO and NON-treated... good to know... :D
Also.. how many years does corn seed usually last?
Thanks for your input!

Breeders Choice corn kernels are small and tender, and so probably would not be as god for freezing and canning as some others. But for eating fresh they are awesome.
Everything depends on the care the seed receives. Kept cool and dry it should last several years. In the freezer, I've heard anywhere from 10 to 20.
