[MittleiderMethodGardening] grow box sawdust
George:
I recommend you mix the finer materials with coarser materials that have been screened (using 1/2" Hardware Cloth). I would. also add perlite if available, and some chopped-up pine needles
Jim Kennard
having a hard time finding sawdust which has been cut from acircle saw blade. look in my area (50 mile radius) and every saw mill now using band saw blades instead of the big circle saw blades. read where this sawdust which is very fine will not work.
also found a couple of planer mills which produce sawdust ith small saving and find dust mixed which I also read will not work.
do you have any idea what would be a substitute to use as I have 40 plants that need to be in ground (4ft tall and in 4" pots and pulling blooms off every day) as need to fill grow boxex to plant.
Thanks as always for your help
