put shade cloth over your tomatoes and water it in the evenings (AND morning - JK) and you plants
will revive and bloom again this lowers the temp about 25 degrees

I have found it depends on the heat. If it is extremely hot, they need an
excessive amount of water immediately, or they will wilt and then not have the
strength to revive.
