Re: [MittleiderMethodGardening] New Member in Madagascar - Several speak French - THANKS!
Jim used one or both of those services, I say this because I wondered
how he got church out of that, so I went to see if he used one of those
services.
It didn't make sense thus his request for help made perfect sense to me.
You can't really rely on those things, just as you can't rely on your
GPS unit.
I once had to ride along with a rollback driver carrying our broken down
van to a 'garage' I had never visited before. He used GPS to map the route.
GPS took him down a lane I cautioned him was not a lane but a private
drive, he argued that his GPS gave him the route. We proceeded, since
he was driving, lol,...
the lane turned into a gravel lane,...he proceeded for the same reasons
and against my same arguements.
The lane turned into a two track dirt...yet he proceeded....
right to the bank of the creek...
he proceeded across the creek...only my DH wisely turned away (he'd like
to stay married to me and he was driving MY truck!) and went around to
meet us on the other side on the road we should have used but had the
rollback used it the roadside assistance service would not have covered
the service!
When I posted my experience to a community board another person replied
that her GPS unit had directed her to cross a marsh pond as if it was a
road!
We the human race need to remember that we have brains ...and not forget
to use them! ;-)
