Re: [MittleiderMethodGardening] Re: was LIMEGREEN/now DE and worms: an answer...sort of

"I have not been impressed with its effectiveness
outdoors because of the difficulty of getting it to stay on plant
leaves- or to get enough product into the soil to be effective."

Both in the greenhouse and outside the plant leaves are sprayed with a fine strong mist that wets the leaves above and under - then for the leaf bottom the duster is simply cranked with nozzle pointing up - quick and easy - no problem.
As for ground effectiveness - just find the entrance of the ant colony - sprinkle ~ a Tbs around the entrance - NO more ants within two days.
That's the extent of my experience - both VERY effective.
Now let's also toss in here that I'm talking about a 50' X 50' home garden - on specific plants - at random times (when the black aphids try to take over the tops of the beet greens and chard, or the white flies try to take over the tomatoes in the greenhouse.....). I wouldn't want to have to do this on several acres!
