Better plant it with all your veggies then , because squash bugs invade
peppers and tomatoes and anything else they can suck on.

For the last 3 years I have had squash bugs. I read somewhere that they
don't like dill so this year I planted dill in between my plants and have
not seen any squash bugs. Possibly just got lucky but its cheap and easy to
do so I will continue to plant dill with my squash.
