If you do any companion planting or are interested or willing to use this method you can plant anything in the onion family along the edges of the tomato plants (I use chives and green, white, yellow, red onions) and they'll run off the fruit worm.
You can also plant marigolds in the same manner. They aren't "known" for running off that type of worm but I've planted them with my tomatoes 7 different years and I've never had them. So maybe they help too, I'm not sure.
