[MittleiderMethodGardening] American Marigolds - Good for anything?
The "large American" marigolds, by which i mean the old-fashioned tall gold stinky pompom type flower ones, don't exactly not "do anything"...they may well be useless for nematodes, but until this year have been pretty good at keeping flies and mosquitoes at bay. This summer nothing seemed to work for them, but usually if you plant the maris, around a patio or porch for instance, you either have to learn to like the aroma or also rub lemon balm leaves on your hands to offset it.
