Re: [Organic_Gardening] Re: coffee grounds straight on the ground?

Do Not put the grounds in a horse coral or any other Animal pen. For horses the
grounds will get into the void of their hoofs and act as sand paper. If you need
a more pointed example put sand in your underwear and then go on a 2 mile run.
So if you have done this what you need to do is clean the coral. Put the
contents into the compost. Then use a good bedding source for the coral like a
wood shavings/ sawdust. Also take your horses and do a really good hoof cleaning
regime on them.

Don't they add nitrogen to the soil?
