Re: [MittleiderMethodGardening] Dehydration?

My first dehydrator did not have a fan. It had seven trays and all I
ended up with was moldy fruit and tomatoes.

I then purchased at Wal Mart, a Nesco American Harvest dehydrator. It
has four tray and several settings. Works great and did not cost an arm and
a leg. I do not know if Wal Mart still carries the dehydrators but you can
get them here.

JUST BE SURE YOU GET ONE WITH A FAN.

I've done the dehydrated tomato slices with some basic seasoning on top in
an Excalibur dehydrator and it was fantastic.

I tried the summer squashes which turned out ok, but I really do need to
get a mandolin to slice them very thin. Thinking on the line of low calorie
snack.

Excalibur can be pricey but it sure works well. Don't fail me now as this
is just the beginnings of harvest time for me.
