Vegetables Gardening - Growing Organic Vegetables

I wonder how it would work to dry them in the sun such as our grandparents used to do with apple slices? Sun dried tomatoes are a common item in the grocery store. Has anyone tried this?

Hey, are we ever going to hear about the dehydration techniques that someone
was going on about. I am up to my ears in squash and need to find out what
to do with them. This technique sounds interesting to me, so I am hoping to
hear from some of those who have experience with it.
