[MittleiderMethodGardening] Ammonia Nitrate - what's a substitute?
I haven't been able to get Ammonia Nitrate in my area (I think that's been the case since Tim McVeigh blew up the Federal Building in Oklahoma using Ammonia Nitrate and Diesel fuel).
So what are people using as a substitute in the custom fertilizer recipe?
Group:
If 34-0-0 - as Ammonium Nitrate - is not available (do NOT settle for 33.5-0-0 sold in Home Depot and Lowes, etc.) Try for 46-0-0 - urea. In dry areas you can use 21-0-0 - Ammonium Sulfate.
