IO Groups was created by the same Mark Fletcher who created yahoo, then left when he saw its owners botch it up. I am in many and own a few that went to IO. Noone has any yahoo-similar complaints there. It works or Mark will know AND IMMEDIATELY REPAIR the reason why.

No ads. No "sharing of info w 2nd parties, muchless 3rd parties.

Jim could opt to link it with FaceBook. Some folks just won't DO FaceBook and many won't do Google groups... privacy issues.

My Mittleider Expertice is sorely lacking or I'd set it up anyway, for folks who have [won't] nowhere else to go. I'd be a shame w/o Jim, but if enough people joined, maybe he'd come and he could HAVE the list.
