Re: [MittleiderMethodGardening] New Bed Sizes

We too had to build a great wood and wire 6 foot fence and attached to the greenhouse to keep the deer out!  squirrels, etc.  Stick with the 18 inch wide and then you have two rows each side, alternating sort of, this is in the outside beds.  Yes, ours is two at 15 feet , connected by a beautiful T thing my hubby built, and cable wires crossed and straight to accommodate HOT SUN when we put the shade cloth up, which we just did here in GA.

best prices for shade cloth are on Greenhouse megastore.com  and don't have to pay for custom, use the stock with the grommets, we used bungees to attach to grommets and then to fence and on greenhouse roof, for the shadecloth, we put little j hooks bought on that website to bungee the shadecloth to the j hooks.  Works well and will keep the hot summer sun from bursting tomatoes and stuff!

But again, try to make a linear note out of the manuals and be sure to dilute the measurements, i have a simple conversion chart, i'll see if i can find it.

here is ONE CONVERSION CHART, I'M LOOKING FOR THE ONE I HAVE PRINTED OUT AND STICK IN THE MITTLEIDER MANUALS:
NOT MY FAVORITE, BUT IT WILL WORK, MAKE A WORD.DOC AND SAVE AND PRINT OUT:

IF I CAN SCAN MINE, I WILL SEND, AS IT'S SIMPLE BUT YOU PROBABLY HAVE METRIC SYSTEM THERE?  JUST TYPE IN CONVERSION OF DRY INGREDIENTS FOR METRIC.

I am fencing in my garden area to keep deer out. Then I will begin building my grow boxes. I have seen several statements that gardener's that had put in the double size beds with T posts (4 foot wide by 15 foot or 30 foot length) after the fact would have rather the beds be 18 inch wide. Because of ease of harvest. What is everyone's opinion... thanks for any help.
