[MittleiderMethodGardening] Growing Your Own Seedlings
Group:
As many of you know we are building a greenhouse here at our home, in order to teach and demonstrate seedling production and gardening principles and procedures.
The greenhouse is up and getting close to being complete. But I can't wait any longer to put it into production!
So, TODAY! I am going to plant several things. We'll post pictures of the seedhouse-in-a-greenhouse for all to see, and we will be planting tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant, along with several other things, primarily greens like kale, Swiss chard, etc.
What I'm doing YOU can do! Growing your own seedlings is NOT expensive, and it may become extremely important to your success in feeding your family, if (when) the time comes that you cannot get seedlings from a nursery - or you want/need garden produce earlier and/or later than the nurseries have it.
The reason for today's planting is to prepare for a 1/2-day seminar on Secrets to Successful Seedling Production, which I will teach here at my home and greenhouse on Saturday, February 7 (3 weeks!). This seminar will be PACKED with practical information on growing your own seedlings, and space is obviously limited, so if you REALLY want to become a good gardener, you'll want to be here.
