Vegetables Gardening - Growing Organic Vegetables

DO NOT SPRAY WITH WEED KILLER!  Just lay down a layer of heavy duty BLACK plastic on the area you will be putting your new garden.  The sun will cook the weeds, grass and kill the seeds over the course of the entire summer.  You should be ready to plant in the late fall for a winter crop.  For bins cinder blacks are cheaper and will last longer, but the Mittleider method used wood and is easier to move when you move. I coated my wood with a wood preservative before I bolted all the pieces together.  I am planning to move this summer further north.  There I will be using two courses of cinder black where the garden will be located. It's really your choice.
