Vegetables Gardening - Growing Organic Vegetables

That article is a good reminder to be prepared for an emergency.  Gotta admit that a food crisis wasn't on my radar.  I'm in the process of pushing my community into a 'community garden' concept for our two large greenbelts that are about half a football field.

larryberg Group:  Community gardens are fraught with challenges.  If you can have sufficient control to make the entire garden conform to ONE gardening method, and manage the care, feeding, and watering, you can have a great experience.  The difficulties include having ONE leader willing and able to run the whole thing (and cover for the many others who fail to do their part), avoiding someone bring diseases, bugs, and weeds into the garden, coordinating what is grown so that there is not tremendous waste with tons of one or two crops, and avoiding theft, etc., etc.
