Meanwhile, for everyone's benefit here is what I recommend:
If you can source perlite I like that the best to avoid or resolve problems with the Weekly Feed getting wet.  It only takes 1# for a 60# batch of WF.  If that is not readily available you can add lime or gypsum to the WF mix, at the rate of 5# in a 60# batch.
You STILL DO want to use the Pre-Plant Mix before planting.

I was disappointed that it was not noted in the book that when you mix the weekly feed it will clump up and appear wet. It would have been nice to know this before I mixed a batch. Thank goodness I only mixed a small amount. It makes it difficult to spread it evenly because of all the clumping. Any suggestions?
