Re: [Organic_Gardening] New member

Hello Cheryl,

Sometime back, someone suggested using diatomaceous earth (organic). All day yesterday, I spent the day carefully applying it around the base of the rose bushes as well as on one of my cucumber plants. At first, I thought the cucumber plant had a fungus because within a few days, it went from a beautiful healthy plant with green leaves to brown and crumbly leaves. It turns out I have tiny, microscopic ants eating the cucumber plant and any nearby vegetables.

Later this evening, I'm mixing a batch of your recipe and spraying the stems (leaves are pretty much gone) of my rose bushes. It sounds like it will be effective.

Thank you so much for your very thoughtful suggestion.
