drilled pvc is good long term investment, I have a large area to cover and high water cost, The cost of drip tape has become affordable and your water use can be figured out by the foot. (I can't vouch for drip tape, but I know that PVC is certainly a good investment, and works for MANY years. Jim Kennard)

Very nicely done, sir. I wish this had been posted a couple of years ago before I measured out 54 10-foot pieces the hard way. The one thing I did do differently and would still recommend for high volume drilling is to buy a small used drill press on Craigslist for $50 or less. They seem to be for sale all the time and they make drilling virtually effortless. And you can sell it on Craigslist when you're done, if you don't need it afterward.
