RE: [MittleiderMethodGardening] Artichokes
Nancy, Your plants will start budding soon. Just be patient. The weekly
feed is enough. Also, you eat the bud of an artichoke, not fruit. The
flower is perfect, meaning it has both the male and female parts in one
flower. Bernie

Subject: [MittleiderMethodGardening] Artichokes
This is their second year. Planted from plants. Don't think we got any
chokes the first year. We live in the Phoenix, AZ area. The plants are
healthy and large, there are 2 of them, but not seeing any signs of fruit
yet. Shouldn't they start to form now? Also do I need to add phospherous to
the soil around them or is the weekly feed enough?
Thanks so much for your help. Nancy Hill
PS Maybe I have male plants? is there such a thing?
