Yes, buffalo leafhoppers are green and quick to move. And if you try and
touch them, they hurt you. Not fun.

Look for the nymph which is black with orange dots. They sting also and
are found in great numbers along stems. You can kill the nymphs with
insecticidal soap or just mix up some ivory liquid and water. Wash off the soap
after an hour and don't spray in the heat of the day. Evening is best. I
have dealt with these for years. The nymph is tiny and looks like a pre
historic monster. The adult isn't so gorgeous either. LOL
