[Organic_Gardening] New - Daisy

Hi Daisy,

Welcome to the group!

I have the same dream and I had the same problem! We moved in a new house and the contractors left the soil terrible, not only hard as a rock because it's clay, but there were a million pieces of concrete, rocks and stuff... you must love them!

We wanted to make the landscaping ourselves but it was AWFUL. We had to hire someone, they brought a little bit of top soil and installed our grass.

The only solution I can think of are some raised beds, but right now I'm a little bit pregnant :) like 6 months so I can't really do it. But I'll be gardening in containers on our decks, hope that works out well for this year.

I'm starting some of my seeds indoor this week! yay..

Let us know about your progress.

Hi My Name Daisy and I'm new to the forum. I garden in a small suburban backyard in Reno, Nv. My garden area is approximately 248 sq ft. I love to grow mostly food and some flowers. One of my goals are to get rid of landscaping rocks and fabric and dig into my concrete-like soil so that I may plant beautiful perennials but this has proven to be a backbraking job. Would love to meet some members.
