Re: [Organic_Gardening] Spiders

I agree with Jeff.  Spiders are awesome because they eat a lot of pesky insects.  If you leave your porch light on they might be eating all the insects attracted to the light.  They could also be eating all the insects that are attracted to damp places and wood.  The spiders are there because there is a large food source of insects.  Let them help you :)

Spiders....well one answer is that we humans attract a lot of flying insects. Two we create in our gardens excellent spider habitat. They are probably a common garden spider and they will consume alot of flies and other unwanted bugs. I wouldn't worry until you start finding the neighborhood kids or the mail person in the webs.

I wake up daily to Halloween-ish webs along the stairs to my house and all over the bushes.  I believe the spiders are large and brownish.  Any ideas what type of spider they might be (they are currently hiding under my siding) and if I need/want them and why?

I started growing peaches recently. As far as I know, it is normal for

peaches to drop up to 80% of its fruit as a natural process.
