Dear Syl -- I had a year like that. .I planted a package of 8 transplants
from the big box store, and got maybe 2-3 squash, total, from the whole lot.
.in previous years with 8 plants I had several squash from each plant, which
is MORE than enough for my family. .very disappointing. .
