I know about the greens and browns and the ratio and understand the
chemistry behind it. Here is what I don't get. Let's say I mow on
Monday and have three yards of clippings. I am busy and don't get
around to adding the six yards of leaves or manure or whatever brown.
By Wednesday the clipping are brown and I imagine a lot of the N has
been lost. Do I now treat them as browns?
