[MittleiderMethodGardening] Wonderful find.
I have been struggling with the abundance of large rocks in my garden
space.
I'm farming in Logan, Utah, which happens to be an old lake bed, and the
soil where I am at is full of large river rocks.
I finally found a solution which has enabled me to get my planting beds
formed and planted with a reasonable amount of work.
The tool that has made the difference is a 10" wide 10 tine fork.

I got mine at home depot, and I have been using it to 'rake' the paths and
beds level by using it upside down as a rake, and then when I collect a pile
of rocks which won't pass through the tines, I flip the fork over, and scoop
the rocks into my wheel barrow. After I get the planting area clear of
surface rocks, and level, I put down a little sand, and some straw dust, (
It's old straw that's been passed through a hammer mill, It's what I have at
the moment to work with ), and then buzz down the row a couple times with my
mini-tiller, rake the beds into shape, put in the pre-plant fertilizer, and
plant..
I've been able to get one or two beds done an evening after work, and it's a
manageable amount of work..
Thank's Jim for mentioning the sand on top of the row.. I've been trying too
hard.
