[Organic_Gardening] Vinegar or Acetic Acid
Hello Everyone - Update on my progress with yard monsters.
The mole problem has been stalled for the moment by all things - wild garlic. I usually pull the wild garlic from my gardens every spring but this spring I decided to leave it. All the plants surrounded by it, veggies and flowering alike, grew stronger and healthier because the moles stayed away from them.
BUT --- Yesterday I debated whether to harvest my medium size collards and beautiful parsley. Since I had planned on watering with compost tea today, I decided to wait a few more days before harvesting. I swear, the groundhogs understand English because no sooner had I mentioned harvesting the greens to my husband than they did it for me. Early this morning I was floored to see every single collard leaf, the majority of my parsley and a few tomato plants GONE!! They decimated my collard greens.
On another topic - Where can I find industrial strength vinegar? I have called everywhere in Maryland and Northern Virginia but no one seems to know anything. I've even asked for acetic acid and again no clue. Does it even exist? Or is it another gardening myth?
With Moles, Groundhogs, and pesky weeds, the garden monsters are taking over. I need your suggestions as to what to do with Groundhogs and where to buy the vinegar. Please.
