Re: [MittleiderMethodGardening] Hi, I am new to this group and new to gardening
Good luck Nichole. When I read about all the urban gardens popping up in Detroit I wish I could be there to garden and show people all the satisfaction and security that comes with gardening. Please go to F.F.E. wbsite (Food For Everyone) for info. Jim Kennard has a wealth of info on there. My tip would be start small and plant what you can eat, as you get more skill and knowledge go big and share!

Hi All,
I am new to the group and new to gardening. This year I decided to try my hand at growing some food. It makes everyone I know laugh because the only house plant I have not killed is a lucky bamboo that one only has to add 2 inches of water to every now and again.
But I really want to learn what and how to do this because I want to eat better quality of food. Not grown with all kinds of icky pesticides and not ripe and tasting yucky.
I live in Metro-Detroit, Michigan. Not a wonderful climate but it's where we're at for now.
Thanks in advance for all the good tips and tricks.
Nichole
