[MittleiderMethodGardening] Ground cherry or strawberry husk tomato
Hello Jim and group,
I am growing Ground cherry or strawberry husk tomato (from Baker Creek Physalis pruinosa) this year. The only information on the packet is that this is a commom type used by the Pilgrims, excellent for pies, jams and preserves. Grow it as you would tomatoes.
From the internet I have read that it grows 18" to 24" tall and have read of it having a spread anywhere from 2' to 4'.
I would like to know if anyone has grown these the Mittleider way and can advise of best plant spacing, one or two rows, and if they should be alternating.
Thank you for any information you can supply.
Eileen
