[MittleiderMethodGardening] Tomato Question - To Climb or Not to Climb

The tomatoes are growing and the T posts are in and even the twine is up. However, since tomatoes don't have tendrils such as peas etc. I'm not sure how they know to grow up the twine Shall I assume that you are tying them ever 6 inches or so.

Sharon & Group:

Tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, and a few others have to be guided up the twine.

The stems are strong enough to hold them, but you have to leave a little slack in the twine and then gently guide the stem around the twine every few ways. Be careful not to force it or it may break and you'll lose a productive plant.
