Yup... I find FB folks love to show off pics but lean too heavily on them, as "content," and don't tend adequately to actual info. A NEEDED pic can be worth a thousand words... Many there add no real content, but are mere, Me too's." Archives sloooowly evaporate.
On garden lists, I often read every year's archives for the month I'm in or the month coming up. Gardeners think in terms of time of year. We just do.
Keep FB, but maybe also do a free IO.Groups list. Mark Fletcher, (who made YahOops and left when it was being ruined,) made IO.. It's quite similar. Except it ALL Functions.
Some of my lists paid for archives transference. EVERY Feature, of many, works.. Support is very responsive. Mark has every responded to me personally on tougher issues.
A pretty FACE is a very nice thing, indeed. What you want to marry, is content.
Oh, attachments work, if the boss sets them so. If I was boss, I'd have both. Two billboards beats 1. Many simply refuse to do FB. Others clamor for it. The best list I'm on, refuses to leave YahOops. Archives are awkwardly, elsewhere.
I have a car. I have a truck. They are tools and they are, appropriately, different. But I'd give up the car, first. She needs the truck but would give it up, first. Different strokes for different folks. IO does what FB does, and better than YahOops ever did. FB cannot match IO, but looks prettier. A pretty wife is nice. A good cook is better, if you can only have one. Since you CAN have FB & IO, 2 billboards beats 1, IMHO.
Easy to set IO up. No real maintenance unless every post is moderated. I haven't seen a flame in yearssss.
