[MittleiderMethodGardening] Onions
This year about half of my onions, both yellow and red, developed very thick necks and multiple internal segments. These onions are not curing well like the normal-necked ones and it looks like I'll be cutting and drying them in the dryer as opposed to storing them whole. Any ideas about 1) the reason this happened, and, 2) how I can prevent it from happening in the future? Incidentally, the size of the bulbs, using Mittleider weekly feed for the first time, are far larger than I've ever been able to grow up here in the short-seasoned mountains.
