It also looks like what we call choke weed. Which by the way is and invasive.
But why don't you take a sample to your extension service and they can nail it
down for you.

Looks like a Poplar or a Cottonwood that has been cut down and has resprouted.

I have been fascinated by this plant which seems to be catching on in the dunes
along the Rehoboth Beach (Delaware) boardwalk.
