[Organic_Gardening] Re: Plant ID: Can anybody help me ID this plant?

I have to agree to the cockle burr ID. We have them all over the acreage. Are the seeds covered in spiny hooks? They will tangle in animal fur and hook on to clothing and are easily spread. They do have medicinal uses and can be eaten early in the spring. Or so I've been told.
