Your only option then is to fence off the yard or each single tree. A friend has the same problem at his cottage. He tried 4ft high fences but with the snow in winter they can still get the trees, so he figures an 8ft fence is needed to save his trees. I'd call a trapper in, they may be cute but it's going to come down to how much do you want a fruit orchard. As they are bothering your neighbors, it's only a matter of time before someone removes them.
