Fwd: [MittleiderMethodGardening] Worms in Tomatoe

What you have is the tomato fruit worm. Different from the tomato horn
worm. To prevent this from happening again, early in the season, when the
tomato vines start to blossom, spray the vines with BT worm killer
(bacillus thuringiensis). A benign and rather non toxic killer for the tomato
fruit worm, corn ear worm, cabbage worm and also the little worm that gets on
your petunias and geraniums(bud worm). The worm ingests the B. T. gets a
tummy ache and stops eating and starves to death. Works. Also works for
cole crops and I will be spraying my cabbages, broccoli, cauliflower,
kohlrabi, and all with BT as soon as I transplant them into their beds. Then, I
will place hoops over the beds and the nylon netting to prevent further
infestation with this worm which can devastate your crops if not taken care
of early. Check out the google link below.
