Re: [MittleiderMethodGardening] ok Gang, l need some help... lime green caterpiller worm ???

The caterpillars come from moths laying eggs on your produce leaves.
The best thing is to check under the leaves daily for eggs and brush them off or wash them off with a hose.
Once they hatch (which it seems yours has), you are doing what can be done - pick them off and kill them.
Newborns are very tiny, but they do keep eating your plants and growing.
And the eggs keep hatching new little ones.
These caterpillars can grow very fat and large as they eat your produce.
Even as you fight them, there comes a time when they win the battle - too many eggs, too much damage.
If you don't want to use pesticides, the best thing next year is to cover your plants with "row covers" to prevent the moths from laying eggs.
I think we all have that problem every year.
