Vegetables Gardening - Growing Organic Vegetables

Hi.. am growing strawberries, blackberries, & raspberries... and have a
few questions...
couldn't find info at the website...

What is the best way to do the berries...are they done on the 18" rows,
like everything else?
How are they placed? And do we do the fertilizer like everything else,
as well? How many weeks
would we fertilize? And when would we start fertilizing? (what month?)

Is it best to cover with black plastic for the strawberries, like we see
out in the fields,
to keep the strawberries off the ground? Of course we wouldn't be able
to fertilize then... :O

Any help would be appreciated!
