Jim, Just curious. What is wrong with the Ammonium Nitrate from Home
Depot or Lowes? It only seems a little weaker. Always appreciate your
answering. Thanks

The material that is sold in Lowes, Home Depot, and probably a few other places as 33.5-0-0 or 34-0-0 is NOT ammonium nitrate at all, but a mixture of 1/2 ammonium sulfate (21-0-0) and Urea (46-0-0).

That's not all bad, except that they sell is for a high price, as if it WAS ammonium nitrate.

If you can get urea for less or about the same money do it.
