Thank you. We had information that fresh uncomposted oak sawdust would draw nitrogen out of the mix and leave none for the plants. We were hesitant to use it.
All fresh sawdust uses nitrogen in the decomposition process. We add sufficient nitrogen - in the Weekly Feed and the nitrogen that we apply at the time of transplanting - to take care of that problem, while feeding the plants as well.
