Re: [MittleiderMethodGardening] Growing Plants Vertically - How Tall Do You Let Them Go?
I think this is a case of individual practicality.
I have seen a tomato in a 2 story atrium, left as an office curio.
Sign said little, but 3 years old.
Please don't pick the fruit.
I trim when toms topple over my semi-tall cages and get in my way.
I would think a single tom could be trained along a cable as grape vines are trained.
Or grown and continually had the center of a vine "ground-layered".
If you had a greenhouse or looong season, this could work - but more plants is quicker.
