[MittleiderMethodGardening] Re: Feeding Your Plants - Anywhere in the World It's the Same
I've been watching all of LDSPrepper's videos on youtube. He's been getting some amazing results.
When the plants are small, you sprinkle the fertilizer down the middle of the grow bed. But later, when the plants are larger, you're still supposed to put down the weekly feed in the same location so that it can be watered in. But how do you do this when you have something like his crazy sweet potato production? The entire bed was covered in leaves and spilling out of the bed. Do you have to move the leaves by hand to get the mix down onto the soil? Can you sprinkle it on top and wash it off the leaves by top watering? Maybe you can add it to the water and deliver it through the sprinkler?
I saw the diagram in the book of the fertilizer-can-on-a-stick. That looks like it would definitely help in situations like tomatoes where the leaves near the ground are gone and you can get between them.

I move the leaves and apply the WF to the soil.
