[MittleiderMethodGardening] "Shallow" bed gardening
Hello; the only space I have available for gardening is on a cement pad. In the TMGC book (page 67) it says to make the grow boxes 8" deep. Will this be enough if they can't grow beyond the cement ?
Also, any info here or in the book (or YouTube videos) about growing in buckets ? I have access to a bunch of 5 gallon and dozens of 1 gallon buckets/pots ?
Thanks.............Ken in Anaheim
Ken Group:
8" deep is enough, and you CAN grow on cement, or any other surface.
Buckets are not a good as Grow-Boxes, but will work. Know the volume of soil mix each contains and apply PP WF accordingly - 1 oz/CF of PP and 1/2 oz of WE per CF.
