[MittleiderMethodGardening] Qualifications to be a CERTIFIED MITTLEIDER GARDENER & CERTIFIED MASTER MITTLEIDER GARDENER

These designations MEANS something!  The CERTIFIED MITTLEIDER GARDENER requires:

1. Passing with a 90%+ a 40-question closed-book test on The Mittleider Gardening Course book,

2. Demonstrating gardening competency by passing an oral interview on 30 competencies. Both are in the Files Section above.

3. Giving evidence of success in the garden, with pictures showing a variety of successful crops grown either in the soil or in Grow-Boxes - from first planting to harvesting.

4. Demonstrating knowledge of seedling production, including completing the 4-hour Seedling Production Seminar and passing the test on its contents.

The CERTIFIED MASTER MITTLEIDER GARDENER also requires:

5. Building and growing in BOTH soil-beds and Grow-Boxes.

6. Building and growing in a seedling greenhouse (an in-the-garden greenhouse qualifies).

7. Giving evidence of success in growing seedlings from all four hardiness groups, from seeds to transplanting into the garden, including proper care, pruning, and transplanting procedures.

8. PAYING IT FORWARD by demonstrating to and assisting others with their gardens and gardening questions, including providing evidence of success in others' gardens.
