Vegetables Gardening - Growing Organic Vegetables

Many people ask the question I pose in the Subject line of this post, and some, like the following lady, have the mistaken belief that only certain groups are allowed or encouraged to host FREE group gardening seminars.  NOT TRUE!  We want to help EVERYONE, as I explain below:

  Elizabeth Houston Do you have to be LDS to have one of these seminars in the area?  Is it only for local LDS wards?

  Jim Kennard NO WAY! I'm sorry to have anyone think that we only conduct free group Gardening Seminars for LDS groups. We have done and will continue to work with and help people of EVERY religious persuasion, or of NO religious affiliation. We've had seminars in many different church buildings, in libraries, garden clubs, and even in HOMES. 
  
  It turns out that members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints typically have a greater interest in gardening and other areas of self-reliance than some other folks because of encouragement by their religious leaders to get out of debt, eat healthy, be less worldly and more self-reliant, and try to be a BLESSING, rather than a BURDEN to the world around them.

  Jim Kennard Anyone! who is interested in getting a group together and hosting a seminar simply needs to contact Lds Prepper, who has been willing to coordinate these things, and he will fill you in on the particulars as to what is needed. One thing that IS needed is a solid commitment for a large enough group to make it worth our time and the costs we incur in making it happen. 
  
  The size group needed can be problematic for some folks without a large "mailing list" so to speak, and if that is your situation I encourage you to consider contacting the LDS congregation(s) where you live, as they may very well support YOU in doing a seminar OR be willing to do the heavy lifting (promotion, facilities, etc.) for you.

  Jim Kennard Another way you can have good Mittleider Gardening Seminars in your own location is to get the materials WE use and conduct your OWN seminar.  Especially if you already have a good Mittleider garden, and can teach and demonstrate what you do and why it works so well, people will LOVE you for it!
