[MittleiderMethodGardening] New Book?, Year-round greenhouse? Gardening Boot Camp? On-Line Training?
Friends:
It may seem as if not much is happening on this gardening group site - maybe because not much IS happening! Yet.
As many of you already know we moved into a new home, and that ate up much of our time over the course of a couple of months.
I am also working hot and heavy on getting a newly revised and improved Mittleider Gardening Course book printed and available in time for Christmas. LDS Prepper (David) and his wife Sue have been very helpful in identifying possible improvements, for which I thank them!
Having moved away from my beloved year-round geo-thermal greenhouse in Gallatin, MO I am now working feverishly to get a new one out of the ground before the frost makes it impossible to set posts. Hopefully I'll have the frame built this week, or at the very least the posts. Anyone interested in learning by doing? Come and help!
We are also working to create on-line training materials that will allow those of you who cannot make it to the Gardening Training Boot Camps at the Kidder, MO campus to become Certified Mittleider Gardeners. We will also be offering two advanced levels, Certified Master Mittleider Gardener, and Certified Master Mittleider Gardening Instructor.
The Master and Instructor certifications will likely require time at the Kidder school, but when you get to that level you will really be able to do some good in the world around you by assisting others in their gardening efforts.
I recommend everyone consider giving gardening materials as Christmas gifts, and stocking up on everything you will need for the next growing season or two. The costs are known and manageable now - don't wait until something happens and things are too costly or unavailable.
Everyone have a joyous holiday season. Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!
