[MittleiderMethodGardening] Re: Help with formula for pre-plant
Am I loosing my mind, or is there a typo here? This paragraph makes no sense to me:
" Gypsum - a 5 gal bucket weights roughly 1.8 pounds. Use a bathroom scale to weight out 21.8 pounds with the gypsum and bucket and you're set. If that isn't possible, using the same math as I used for Borax below, 20 pounds would be roughly 15-1/4 cups. "
If a 5 gal. bucket of gypsum only weights about 1.8 pounds, HOW IN THE WORLD can 20 pounds be only 15 + cups?
Where did I get messed up?
The 5 gallon bucket weighs 1.8# WITHOUT any gypsum in it! When you put it on a scale you add enough gypsum that it indicates 21.8#, which means you have added 20# of gypsum
