Vegetables Gardening - Growing Organic Vegetables

In Wisconsin, the DNR protects squirrels, so rodenticide is not on the table, but a few years ago one of my distant neighbors began a private relocation program that involved a small humane trap and a sizeable park not too close to his home.  That year, he told me that his count was over 120, with likely repeat customers, but that he had apparently reached a tipping point where enough of the community had moved, or perhaps he caught the mayor or matriarch.  Who knows?  End result was that the following year the neighborhood had extremely productive gardens and some were overwhelmed with the amount of fruit their apple and other trees yielded.
